KCIS celebrates 15th Annual Day

JAMMU: KC International School (KCIS) Jammu celebrated its 15th Annual Day on Thursday great zest at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium.
The Chief Gust for the event was Padma Shri Balwant Thakur. Among other distinguished luminaries present were Dr. Vinod Kumar, SSP Jammu, Dr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Director School Education, Ranjeet Kalra, Member J&K Sports Council, Subah Mehta, Joint Director School Education, Kulbir Handa, SP Jammu and Vishal Sood, DySP Jammu.
Among the management dignitaries present were Chaitanya Chowdhary, President, Saroj Mahajan, General Secretary and Dr. Shikha Chowdhary, Finance Secretary.
The Sr. School Coordinator of the School, Roma Gupta presented the formal welcome followed by traditional lamp lighting ceremony to invoke the blessings of Almighty by the luminaries.
Students presented various cultural items during the celebration including welcome dance, kaleidoscope of dances, which captivated the audience.
The school Council presented the School Annual Report highlighting the school’s achievements. All the programmes were based on the theme of life’s VIBGYOR – Victory, Integrity, Bravery, Yielding, Optimism and Resilience.
The highlight of the day was the play Mahabharata, which left the audience enormously spell bound with a gripping enactment by the senior school students.
The achievers were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Balwant Thakur, who urged the students to hone and sharpen their talents to carve niche for themselves and bring laurels to the state as well as the nation.
Principal KCIS, Anupama Sinha presented the vote of thanks.
