JAMMU: JCC and WCC won their respective matches to advance into the next round of the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Tournament, sponsored by KC Hyundai Jammu, held here on Friday.
In the first match, JCC registered three wickets win against RCC.
Batting first, RCC set a target of 94 runs for ten wickets. Satish (20) and Akash Manhas (16) were the main scorers. For JCC, Rahul and Jasbir clinched four wickets each.
Later, JCC chased the target by losing seven wickets. Siddarth Magotra and Gurdeep Singh made highest 31 and 18 runs respectively. Kuldeep emerged as most successful bowler with three wickets, followed by Satish and Amit, who shared two wickets each for RCC. Jasbir was declared Man of the Match.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, WCC defeated JKP by six wickets.
Batting first, JKP made 94 runs for nine wickets, which, in reply, WCC chased the target by losing four wickets. K.D Singh was adjudged Man of the Match.
