Kashmir killings: Kishtwar observes shut down, Bhadarwah closed today

STATE TIMES NEWS
KISHTWAR: Normal life was affected in Kishtwar town on Thursday due to a shutdown called by Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtawar to protest against the killing of civilians in Kashmir.
Shops, other business establishments and some private schools of particular community remained closed, however government schools, offices and banks functioned normally and traffic was plying on the roads as usual. Elaborate security arrangements were made in the town.
Meanwhile, to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to resent alleged barbaric acts of the Union and State Coalition Government, Anjuman-e- Islamia Bhadarwah called for a complete shutdown on Friday.
Anjuman-e-Islamia alleged that Mehbooba Government is following RSS agenda, due to which, things are going from bad to worst with each passing day as innocent Kashmiris are being killed everyday by the security forces. Both Union and State government instead of taking steps to initiate talks are busy in giving irresponsible and provocative statements and showing complete aggression to supress the people.
“We have been trying to maintain utmost restraint but some BJP and PDP leaders backed by RSS are hell bent to vitiate and polarize the peaceful atmosphere of Chenab Valley and Pir Panjal by giving provocative statements,” Pervaiz added.
