JAMMU: All Kargil Students Association Jammu organised a sports meet on the occasion of Accession Day.
State Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Prabhari Yudhvir Sethi was the Chief Guest while BJYM District President Leh Hassan Pasha was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
The programme started by lighting candles and bursting fire crackers to commemorate the Accession of J and K with rest of India.
Zehra Henas won Table Tennis title while Zehra Henas and Saria Banoo bagged Badminton title award in girls category.
In boys category, Fayaz Hussain won Table Tennis title and Younus Hussain bagged Badminton.
The cricket tournament was won by KCC. Volleyball final was won by Boys Hostel Kargil team and Football final was won by FC Barooa.
Congratulating the energetic players and youth, Sethi said that sports unite people from all aspects of the society irrespective of caste, colour and creed.
Sethi also discussed various issues faced by the sports persons in the State and how they can be beaten so that the youth can actively participate in sports.
He also said that organising such tournaments gives opportunities to young and budding players to display their talent and it also helps them in improving their ability to play the sport.
Ankit Sood, Anil Masoom, Vishal Kohli, Rinku Chouhan, Chander Shekhar, Muzaffer Hussain, Taffzul Hussain, Ravi Kumar and Jatin Bali were also present.
