SRINAGAR: On the fifth day of Kargil Police Sports Festival 2016, indoor final matches of Karate (55-65 weight), Table Tennis and Badminton were played at Indoor Stadium, here on Sunday. In the today’s matches, DC Kargil Gulzar Hussain was the Chief Guest.
In karate, Sarfaraz Ali, resident of Aba Grong, emerged as winner and Khadim Ali, resident of Poyen, emerged as runner up. In table Tennis, Shabina Batool of Government Middle School Latoo defeated Toyeeba Khatoon of Suru Valley Public School Kargil and in badminton, Bintul Huda and Kaneez Fatima of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kargil outplayed Kharun Nissa and Toyeeba Khatoon of Suru Valley Public School.
Among others SP Kargil Rahul Malik, ASP Jameel Ahmad, DySP DAR Mohammad Aslam, District Youth and Sports Officer, prominent personalities and senior citizens and other District Officers were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, in three Outdoor games viz Football, Handball and Kho-Kho played at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Kargil.
In football, boys of Coy Baroo to face Jaffaria Academy of Modern Education Kargil while in Handball, Higher Secondary School Ackhmal to meet High School Minji and in kho kho High School Thasgam to clash with Higher Secondary School Ackhmal in the finals.
