JAMMU: Continuing his efforts to provide best services to public; Corporator Parmod Kapahi initiated development works worth Rs 25 lakh at Ward No 14 Bhagwati Nagar, by inaugurating repair work of lanes & drains and fixing of grating. It was a long pending demand of residents which has been finally met, the Corporator said in presence of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) AEE Vijay Kumar, JE Sunil Gupta besides other officials. The work will be carried out at an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakh.
Kapahi further said that administration is committed to provide best possible services to people and with coordination of people; the Ward No 14 would hopefully be developed into a model Ward of Jammu city. He further said that more development projects are in pipeline which would be carried out in future in a phased manner for welfare of people. Meanwhile, the residents apprised him of several issues and put forward demands for redressal. After giving a keen listening, the Corporator assured them that all their issues and demands would be taken up with concerned authorities at the earliest. Others present on the occasion included Asha Sharma, Santosh Bhagat, Radha Sharma, Vijay Sapru, Anil Gupta, Parshotam Sharma, Darshan Lal, Subash Sharma, Tek Chand and Som Raj.
