JAMMU: A team of 23 specially-abled sportspersons from the State that left for Chennai to take part in the national meet was flagged off by Ranjeet Kalra,
Vice Chairman Sports Council Jammu on Friday from MA Stadium in presence of Nazir Ahmad, Member of the State Sports Council.
The Squad will participate in different disciplines of athletics and volleyball in the National Games for the Specially Abled being held at Chennai from 28th to 31st March, 2017.
Secretary Sports Council, Waheed ur Rehman Para, in his good luck message to the team, wished that they will bring back laurels for the State.
Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer and Satish Sharma, Manager Indoor Stadium were also present during the flagging off ceremony. The team is being sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
