KATRA: Wrestler Kaka of Amritsar in Punjab lifted Sixth annual Sool-Pamote Kesari Dangal title defeating Wrestler Farooq of Sarore in Jammu in the main bout that lasted for 17 minutes at village Pamote Nalla in Tehsil and District Reasi.
Wrestler Kaka was adjuged as the Best Wrestler of the Dangal which was organised by Sool-Pamote Dangal Committee in association with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association. The winner got a cash prize of Rs 15,000 from Joint Secretary J and K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Chairman of the Dangal Committee, Rattan Lal while runner-up wrestler Farooq got Rs 10,000 from Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Raj Kumar (Baboo).
Treasurer, Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also President J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who distributed cash prize among the winners and runner up wrestlers. In all, 68 bouts were played in the one day long Dangal.
The second main bout was fought between Wrestler Gurpesh of Amritsar and Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu. This bout was won by Gurpesh, he was awarded with cash prize of Rs 1,000 by Pandit Tara Chand and Lala Singh Choudhary while runner-up Wrestler Amir Khan got Rs 4,000 by Joginder Pal and Surinder Kumar.
Third bout was won by Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu who defeated Kaka of R S Pura. Lallu was awarded with Rs 6,000 while runner-up Kaka got Rs 4,000. Fourth bout was won by Roshan Lal of Muthi of J and K Police who defeated Guragent of Amritsar. The fifth bout was won by Ajay Sharma of Landen Power House Udhampur who defeated Bobari of Sarore.
Dangal was organised under the supervision of organising committee including Rattan Lal (Chairman), Raj Kumar, Joginder Lal, Surinder Kumar, Nek Ram, Chain Singh, Raghubir Lal, Bishan Dass, Jawhar Lal, Gian Chand (Panch), Yog Raj and Lal Singh Choudhary.
Technical officials who helped for conduct of Dangal included Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Raj Singh, Laikat Ali, Rajinder Kumar, Allah Mai (Raga), Tulinder Kumar, Mukesh Khajuria, Bansi Lal, Raj Kumar (Baboo) and Murli Dhar (Munna).
Other Result:- Bobari beat Johnny, Babba defeated Dillar Khan, Muneer Khan trounced Bodh Raj, Amit blanked Rajesh Sharma, Jagga downed Vijay Kumar, Akram beat Sukhmaan, Rashid defeated Baboo, Rahul trounced Salman Khan, Bagga outplayed Asrif, Gopal Sharma blanked Panku, Makhana downed Angrej Singh, Murad Ali defeated Kaka, Sanjeev beat Rajinder, Jamat Ali blanked Shiver Khan and Dheeraj trounced Rustam Choudhary.
The proceedings of the Dangal were conducted by Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Allah Mai (Ranga), while welcome address was presented by Rattan Lal, Chairman of Dangal Committee. The vote of thanks was presented by Raj Kumar (Baboo).
