JAMMU: For complete peace in Kashmir Valley and national integration, the Kaith Biradari of Jammu and Kashmir organised a Yagya in the temple of Uttami Devi at Village Marh here on Sunday in which large number of people hailing from different corners of the State participated.
The atmosphere in and around the premises of the temple was all spiritual and the people around were chanting Gaytri Maha Mantra explanation of which was given by Swamy Raj Nand. Addressing the gathering, R.L Kaith said religion plays an important role in uniting the people and common devotion creates the feeling of affinity that helps in the integration of the nation.
The participants prayed to Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed souls of Major Kamlesh Pandey and soldier Sepoy Tanjin Chhultim of 62 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) who were killed a few days back in firing by militants at Zainapora in Shopian District of Kashmir during a cordon and search operation. Among those who were present included former MLA Sat Paul, Numberdar Sardari Lal, Kamal Singh, Paras Ram, Girdhari Lal, Bua Ditta, Shanker Dass, Omkar Nath, Bachan Lal, Madan Lal, Rattan Lal, Krishan Lal, Ajay Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Kapur Chand, Subash Chander and Nek Ram.
