Justice in Rassana case not possible without CBI probe: Kesri

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH) on Monday demanded CBI enquiry into Rassana rape and murder case, and slammed national media for wrong reporting in the case.
Addressing a press conference here at party headquarter, National Vice President, Rajesh Kesri said that it is unfortunate that national media depicted wrong picture of case and which has badly hurt the sentiments of people of State in general and people of Jammu in particular.
Kesri asserted that justice in Rassana case is not possible without CBI probe.
With every passing day, the justification for the people’s demand for CBI probe gets further strengthened. He further said that there is every possibility that some innocents might suffer heavily if the report of the Crime Branch is treated as final.
“There are many loop holes in it which the general public of the area wants to be re-investigated by CBI. Many times it has happened that some persons declared as offenders by the local police have been found innocent by the CBI”, he added.
He emphatically demands that the victim must get justice and real culprits must be severely punished but no politics should be played on her death. Victim is victim and not Muslim or Hindu.
Kesri along with party activists yesterday met with family of Rassana case victim and also prominent persons of the area who in one voice advocated for CBI probe into the case.
They maintained that some vested interests are trying to communalize the situation and making efforts to disturb peace and communal harmony in the area. It becomes imperative to get the case investigated by CBI so that real culprits could be punished and also all those who tried to deteriorate the situation after this worst ever inhumane act are enemies of humanity and they must be punished henceforth.
Seeking capital punishment to those actually involved in the heinous offence, Kesri said that Party would continue its CBI probe campaign in its pursuit for justice to the Rassana murder victim and for bringing to fore the conspirators and perpetrators of the barbaric crime.
Rajeshwar Singh, Raj Kumar, Sohan Lal and Rajesh Honda were also present in the press conference.
