JAMMU: Accusing National Conference (NC) of misleading people by making false promises during electioneering, People’s Democratic Party leader and Chief Election Coordinator for Jammu Province, Abdul Hamid Choudhary on Friday said that justice to all and equitable development of all three regions of the State is top most agenda of party as foreseen by PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Addressing series of public meetings in Nagrota Assembly segment, Choudhary Hamid said now that NC led coalition has lost grounds, it is making false and fabricated promises with people only to garner votes. This is for sure that people are going to show this corrupt an incapable government door and in the given situation desperate leaders of coalition are making false promises only to gain some foothold.
Seeking votes for contesting party candidate from Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Choudhary Hussain Ali Waffa, Hamid said Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party chief Mehbooba Mufti have a clear vision of developing each and every region of the State equitably and give people a clean and transparent administration. This, he said could become possible only when people will show their faith in the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and elect his representatives.
Nagrota, he said is adjoining Jammu where highest seat of power, the civil secretariat is located but despite that the constituency remained neglected. Had the government actually wanted, it would have done wonders and developed Nagrota on most modern lines. There still are locations where teachers and students have to trek to reach their schools, people walk miles to fetch water and health facilities are negligible. Despite such backwardness of the area, NC representatives are making false promises with people. Having failed to work during past six years, they still are seeking votes, which is nothing but a mockery and joke played on people.
Choudhary Hamid added that PDP under the dynamic leadership of Mufti Mohamamd Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti if elected to power is going to do justice with all, decentralise powers, strengthen anti-graft institutions, generate employment avenues, ensure basic amenities to all, set right the derailed education system, improve health facilities and save agriculture land from being commercialised.
He sought votes for the party to achieve all these programme and make Jammu and Kashmir a prosperous State.
