JAMMU: Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday named the State boys’ and girls’ teams for the upcoming 41st Junior National Volleyball Championship to be held at Chandigarh from 23rd to 28th December.
Prior to proceeding for national participation, the teams underwent a 21-day coaching camp from 1st to 21st December, 2014, organised by J and K State Sports Council at MA Stadium Sports Complex Jammu under the supervision of Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu of J and K State Sports Council Jammu.
The selected teams also interacted with Special Guest, Sidharth Daluja who wished them for better results in the National Championship.
The teams, accompanied by Onkar Singh Gill, Mulkh Raj Sharma (Coaches), V.K Magotra and Zahida Akhtar (Managers) as officials, shall depart for the venue on Monday.
Placed in group-A, J and K boys shall be playing against Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Maharashtra, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and SAI XI in the league round. Similarly, in girls section, J and K has been pitted against Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab and Chhattisgarh in group-B.

BOYS: Rohit, Verma, Bhawani Partap Singh, Ankush Sharma, Ranjit Singh, Hritika Sharma, Sunil Singh, Amit Sambyal, Ajay Kumar, Sahil Kumar, Amit Sharma, Arun Singh, Abneet Sharma, Harsh Wardhan.
GIRLS: Kanika Manhas, Neha Bhagat, Mansi, Hritika Sharma, Rifat Choudhary, Mansi Vaid, Prabjot Kour, Priyanka, Savita Bagal, Simran Mahajan, Reya Jamwal, Mehak Jamwal.
