JAMMU: In a minor reshuffle in J&K Judiciary, District and Sessions Judge (Super Time Scale) Rakesh Sagar Jain, who is presently serving as Registrar Vigilance of J&K State High Court is posted as Registrar General of the High Court, with effect from 1st January, 2017, on the retirement of A. K Koul, who is serving as Registrar General as on date.
District and Sessions Judge (Super Time Scale) Sanjay Dhar, who is presently serving as Special Judge, Anti-Corruption (CBI Cases), Jammu, is transferred on deputation to the State High Court and posted as Registrar Vigilance of the State High Court with effect from 1st January, 2017, in place of R. S. Jain, District and Sessions Judge (Super Time Scale) at present Registrar Vigilance, State High Court.
District and Sessions Judge Jawad Ahmad, who is presently serving as Registrar Judicial, Srinagar Wing of the State High Court, is posted as Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice of the State High Court, with effect from 9th January, 2017 in place of M. Y Akhoon, District and Sessions Judge (Super Time Scale) on his relieving on 9th January, 2017 to join as Presiding Officer, for Food Safety Appellate Tribunal, Kashmir. District and Sessions Judge (Selection Grade) Mohammad Yousuf Wani, who is presently serving as District and Sessions Judge, Budgam, is transferred on deputation to State High Court and posted as Registrar Judicial, Srinagar Wing of the State High Court with effect from 9th January, 2017, in place of Jawad Ahmad, District and Sessions Judge, at present Registrar Judicial, Srinagar Wing of the State High Court.
Meanwhile, in another order, District and Sessions Judges (Selection Grade) Puneet Gupta and Mohan Lal Manhas are placed in the super time scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service with effect from 1st November, 2016 and 1st January, 2017 respectively, against the vacancies caused/to be caused due to the retirement of M. K Hanjura on 31st October, 2016 and Ashok Kumar Koul on 31st December, 2016.
In another order passed by the Registrar General Ashok Kumar Koul that on the acceptance of his representation, the seniority of District Judge (Selection Grade) Kishore Kumar, presently posted as Special Judge NIA/3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, is restored to its original place i.e. below Inder Singh and above Bala Jyoti, District Judges (Selection Grade) with all consequential benefits.
In another order upon the appointment of District & Sessions Judge (Super Time Scale) Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon, who is presently posted as Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, as Presiding Officer for Food Safety Appellate Tribunal, Kashmir, vide SRO No.371 issued vide Notification dated 18th November, 2016, his request is accepted and he shall stand relieved from the present post on 9th January, 2017 F. N. to take up the new assignment/appointment.
