JU thrashes Akola University Nagpur by 80 runs in All India VC’s Cup

JAMMU: University of Jammu (JU) thrashed Akola University Nagpur by 80 runs to register fourth win in All India Vice Chancellor’s Cup 2023 at at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
As per report reaching here, batting first, JU scored 219 for the loss of ten wickets in 20 overs. Shantul Raina played a fine inning of 77 while Niranjan with (29), Raj Kumar (25), Rajesh (16) and Aman (14) runs were other scorers.
For Akola University, Dr. P.M Tayade grabbed four wickets for 28 runs while Vivek Satar claimed three for 41 runs.
Akola University, Nagpur All, in reply, bundled out in 19.3 overs for 139 runs. Deven was the top scorer with 25 runs while Neeraj and Prem Dass added 24 and 22 runs respectively to the total.
For JU, Raj Kumar Bakshi scalped three wickets for 35 runs in 4 overs while Amin took two and Balwant Singh, Rajesh and Shantul claimed one wicket each. For his all-round performance, Shantul Raina was declared Man of the Match.
Team accompanied by the manager Sanjeet Singh and assistant manager Mohit Sharma and cricket coach University of Jammu Raj Kumar Bakshi. Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu congratulated the team and the officials and gave best wishes for the coming matches.
