JAMMU: University of Jammu (JU) made it an impressive third consecutive win defeating SRTM University Nanded in the ongoing All India Vice-Chancellor’s Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament.
The JU defeated SRTM University Nanded by a big margin of 209 runs, courtesy brilliant batting performance from Shantul Raina, who scored 145 runs.
Earlier, J&K set a target of 269 runs losing two wickets in 20 overs. Besides Shantul, Naranjan Singh also played well and made 80 runs while Rajesh contributed 20 runs for the total.
In reply, SRTM University was bowled out for a small total of 60 runs in 13.2 overs. It was Raj Kumar Bakshi’s seven-wicket haul including a hat-trick that neutralised the opponent batting line up. Balwant Singh claimed two wickets and Rajesh took one.
