JU beats Amravati University in VC T20

JU team in jubilant mood after winning the match against Amravati University.

PATIALA: Continuing its winning streak, University of Jammu (JU) beat Amravati University convincingly by nine wickets in its second match of All India Vice-Chancellor’s T20 Cricket Cup 2017 being played Patiala, here on Tuesday.
Bating first, Amrawati University posted a total of 98 runs on the board in its stipulated 20 overs. Dauood Iqbal Baba took three wickets whereas Pawan Singh and Balwant Singh shared one wicket each for JU.
Batting second, University of Jammu chased the score in just 10.5 overs, thanks to a blistering knock of 62 runs off just 39 balls by Dauood Iqbal Baba. Deepak Kumar also contributed 23 runs.
Dauood Iqbal Baba was adjudged Man of the Match for his exceptional all-round performance with both bat and ball.
Director, Sports and Physical Education, Prof. A.S Jasrotia congratulated the team. Sham Lal Sharma, Manager and Sanjeev Kumar Chadha, Assistant Manager also congratulated the team for this convincing win.
