JTC seeks fresh Assembly election

JAMMU: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front, J and K on Friday said that Coalition Government of PDP and BJP in Jammu and Kashmir State has failed to mitigate the sufferings of the general masses of the State besides no efforts were made by the government to ensure peace in the State as militancy has got boost in Valley.
In a meeting held here, Shadi Lal Pandita, President of the Jagti Tenement Committee/Soan Kashmir Front said that Governor’s Rule is a relief to the general masses as the voice of the masses was curbed by the Coalition Government of BJP and PDP.
Pandita said present Assembly be dissolved and fresh elections held and a new government formed so that the general masses will be ensured upliftment and development in the State.
He also appealed to the government to redress the grievances of the migrants.
The demands put forth by the JTC are holding of on spot police recruitment rally in Jagti, fulfilling remaining 4,000 posts under PM’S employment package, permanent rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community in secured place by raising satellite township, one time compensation to each and every migrant family for loss suffered by them due to damages to their properties in Kashmir Valley during past 26 years alias Rs 52 lakh per family, restore the properties encroached upon by vested interests in Kashmir Valley, enhancement of Monthly Cash Relief from Rs 10,000 to 25,000 per family per month, repair of road from Kandoli to Jagti Camp immediately, release pending ex-gratia with interest, issue of RBA Certificates immediately etc.
Ved Lal Pandita, Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Koul, Hari Krishan Pandita, Pyare Lal Kanth, S.L. Kar, Kashi Nath Bhat, M.K Raina, Bnij Nath Thusso, Vinod Bhat and Rattan Lal Bhat also present in the meeting.
