JAMMU: Joint Secretary (Kashmir) of the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC), Zamir Ahmed Thakur has resigned from the honorary post citing personal reasons.
In a letter addressed to the President of the autonomous sports body, JKSSC, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, Thakur said that he has resigned from the post ‘due to my personal reason’.
Zamir Ahmed Thakur, who is also president of thee J and K Football Association (JKFA) and serves with the Department of Forests, was elected as Joint Secretary (Kashmir) on 18th August, 2015 General Council meeting of the JKSSC held under the chairmanship of then Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
The letter further read that Thakur has also tendered his resignation as Member of the State Sports Council.
