Joint Churches Fellowship Jammu City takes out colourful Christmas procession

JAMMU: In connection with the ongoing Christmas celebrations, a colourful procession was taken out this afternoon here by J&K Joint Churches Fellowship Jammu City.
Demonstrating the unity of the Christian community, thousands belonging to different Churches participated in the rally.
The procession that began from Shahidi Chowk passed through Residency Road, Raghunath Bazaar, City Chowk, Shalamar Road, Parade, Library Chowk, Kachi Chawni, Panjtirthi, CPO Chowk, Jain Bazar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi and culminated at Shahidi Chowk.
Santa Claus and tableaus with angels and King Herod who was the Roman king at that time and church Choirs were special attraction of the rally. People liked every part of the tableaus, the Choirs of different churches of the city song’s relating to the birth of Jesus Christ. The market Associations at many places gave a warm welcome to the Christmas Procession and offered refreshment to the participants.
The main organisers of rally were Rev. Shoukat Peter President Joint Churches Fellowship Jammu, Pastor Musraf Bhatti, Vice President, Rev Rohil Mattoo General Secretary, Pastor George Kutty, Rev. Robin Bhatti, Pastor Novamanikana, Pr Stephen David, Pastor Stonious Bhatti, Pr Polus Gill, Pastor Raju Masih, Pastor John Roques Bhatti, Camres David Babbloo, Pastor Thomas Paul, Pastor John Sidhu, Pastor Zion Mattoo, Pastor Hazar, Titus Gill, Pastor Lovvy Sobey Church, Pr Ramesh, Pastor Daulat , Pastor Finney Samuel, Pastor Stephen Gill, Pastor Simon paul Bro Rohan and all the Pastors and churches
At the end, the organisers expressed gratitude towards Distt administration for extending all help and cooperation they also expressed gratitude towards the SSP Jammu, SP City North Jammu, DSP both Police and traffic. They also expressed thanks to general public and shopkeepers for their cooperation and warm welcome and wish a merry Christmas and a Blessing New year 2024 besides special thanks to media teams.
