JMC seals 2 buildings in Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU: Jammu Municipal Corporation on Saturday sealed two buildings constructed in violation of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
The Enforcement Staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation under the guidance of Er. Kiran Wattal Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu continued the drive against unauthorized construction and encroachments and sealed the premises of Narinder Sharma son of R.D. Sharma at Plot No: 80-A, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The action was taken under Section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 as the builder had converted the building into a commercial one. `
The team also sealed the premises of Rakesh Aggrawal at Plot No: 283-A, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu who had converted the residential building into a commercial one without the permission of Jammu Municipal Corporation. The action was taken under Section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
The enforcement team also demolished the shutters of shops at Sec No: 6, Channi Himmat, Jammu and the walls of a garage belonging to Sajan son of Late James near MVO Office, Dogra Hall, Jammu and removed the encroachment on the Nallah.
The sealing and demolition drive was conducted with the help of police force from Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat Jammu and force from District Police Lines, Jammu.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again appealed to the General Public to refrain from making encroachments and making unauthorized constructions otherwise action as admissible under rule will be taken.
