JAMMU: Commissioner JMC Soujanya Sharma carried out sanitation drive in Ward No 24, 26 and 39, which was started from Devi Chand Municipal Park Rehari.
On the spot assessment of sanitary conditions and performance of other municipal services was reviewed and necessary instructions were issued for improvement of civic amenities. The Engineering Section of JMC was asked to undertake minor repairs of lanes and drains immediately.
The public representatives highlighted their respective charter of demands which included proper functioning of existing water coolers, functioning of high mast lights as well as repair of existing street lights.
The JMC Commissioner assured to the local citizens that all the issues shall be redressed on priority.
Executive engineers, municipal veterinary officer /zonal officer II (Sanitation), chief transport officer, sanitation officers, sanitary inspectors and locals from the area namely Karan Sat Sharma, Pardaman Singh, Sanjay Sawhney, Bal Khajuria, Sanjeev Sharma, Jaswinder Kour Jassi, Ankush and Subash Bakshi also accompanied the Commissioner.
