JAMMU: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) decided to launch agitation from first week of February against the failure of government in releasing of Master Grade list of February 2014 which is lying pending for the last three years.
In the meeting held here on Sunday, State General Secretary of the Forum, Ganesh Khajuria said that the deliberately delayed promotion list of Masters is hampering the promotion prospects of teachers of Jammu Division as more than 3,500 Master Grade Posts are lying vacant.
Khajuria mentioned that the salary of teachers and masters working under SSA, RMSA, NPS, Surplus Master and teachers are lying pending for the last six months.
He demanded transfer policy in favour of ReTs, scrapping of screening test of ReTs and release of Plus Two Lectures promotion list in different streams.
Khajuria appealed to the Chief Minister to direct the authorities concerned for mitigating the genuine demands of the teachers.
The meeting decided if government fails to release the Master Grade list of February 2014 and release of salaries teachers/masters working under SSA, RMSA, NPS, Surplus Master and Teachers upto 31st January 2017, the forum will launch first phase of agitation from 1st week of February 2017.
