BASOHLI: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) held a meeting at Basohli under the chairmanship of Parveen Singh District General Secretary of JKTF Kathua on Monday in which all the leaders stressed upon immediate transfer of master who are serving in the hard zone of the district.
S. Parveen Singh said that Education Department is not serious about the transfer of masters who are serving in hilly area. They have completed their tenure in hard zone like Basohli, Billawar Malahar and Bani of district Kathua. He appealed to education authorities that they should be immediately transfer from hard zone to home zone. “It is brought to notice all the masters of the hilly area are serving 100 kms to 180 kms away from their home within the district and they cannot return home in the evening” he said.
Forum also appealed to release the RMSA salary grants as the masters are suffering for want of salary for the last three months, DA arrears are due from January-July 2014 and 2015 and forth , fifth installment of Sixth Pay Commission arrears is still pending. Those who were present in the meeting include Bishan Das Thakur, Babu Ram, Bansli Lal, Vijay kumar, Rajesh kumar, Kernail Singh and Manjeet Singh.
