JAMMU: A delegation of executive members of JKPSA central body led by its Chairman Kamal Gupta called on the Director School Education Jammu, Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma to discuss about the turmoil created by a Principal, Pawan Kumar Singh during verification /checking of results of private schools in zone Udhampur, Jib etc.
While speaking during the meeting, the members expressed dismay over act of the CEO Udhampur who deliberated his powers for verification / checking to an official, who is known for his irresponsible and high-headed behavior. They also briefed the officer that corrupt / malafide intention of Pawan Kumar Singh and his clerk Pawan Kumar had compelled the owners /Principals of private schools of Udhampur to hold a protest against them as both the officials incorporated number of conditions after superseding the order issued on April 27, 2022 which were only needed at time of inspection for recognition/affiliation/ extension of private schools and not for confirmation /authentication of result of private schools.
The members unanimously demanded holding an enquiry into the matter besides replacing Principal Pawan Kumar Singh and his clerk Pawan Kumar from present place of posting. Kamal Gupta President of association demanded immediate transfer of both the officials from their home town to other districts for saving private schools from harassment and exploitation.
Director School Education Jammu Dr. Ravi Shanker Sharma gave a patient hearing to the members and said that the Chief Education Officer Udhampur has withdrawn his powers for verification / checking of results. Government has also constituted a team for holding grass-root enquiry over all allegations labeled on both the employees. He further told that the aforementioned Principal will not be allowed to conduct inspection of any of private school of Udhampur till enquiry is not completed.
Other members of delegation included Rameshwar Mengi (Vice President), Ajay Gupta (General Secretary), Sanjeev Luthra (Member Central Executive body) and Deepak Handa (District President).
