JAMMU: To acquaint the students regarding fundamentals of broadcasting and radio communication, the faculty of JK Public School on Thursday escorted a contingent of its students to 92.7 Big FM Radio Station.
The enthusiastic students keenly grasped various aspects of broadcasting and in-studio activities to explore the magic of propagating voice signals to distance places using latest technology available these days viz. Frequency Modulation (FM).
Terming the visit to FM Radio Station as a unique experience for students, Principal JKPS Panjtirthi Suman Banbah said that the event gave these pupils a chance to learn the myriad ways in which radio communication can have a positive impact on the society. She said that despite the advances in technology, a number of people, especially those in the rural areas were still bereft of modern means of communication and there comes the relevance of radio communication, which meaningfully connects these people with latest information and entertainment proving its significance. Later, JaKiians saw the sound proof studios, recording room, drama section, technical section and transmitters. Despite hectic schedule, the visiting JaKiians demonstrated exemplary enthusiasm by raising a volley of questions and queries. The visit was indeed an exceptional learning experience for JaKiians.
