JKPS Panjtirthi observes National Pollution Control Day

JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi on Thursday observed National Pollution Control Day with an aim to raise awareness among the Jakiians about the increasing air pollution and educating them about the hazards of air pollution.
Simran Sharma sensitized the students about the current scenario of environmental pollution, its disastrous consequences and suggested different methods to stop and control air pollution.
Jakiians recited slogans on “Go Green” and urged the audience to create a clean and pollution free environment for a healthy living.
They made posters and came forward with inspiring messages and also an informative short skit on the agents of pollution and ways of minimizing them.
Students actively took the pledge to save Mother Earth for themselves and for the coming generations.
Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah said, “It is necessary to control pollution and it is not only the Government’s duty, we should also participate and make the environment clean as a clean environment helps people to do their tasks in a better way and live life happily.”
She further encouraged the students to understand the importance of preserving natural resources and discouraging further depletion of the environment.
