JAMMU: Continuing with its excellent performance, JKPS Panjtirthi yet again proved its mettle by securing 10 top slots in Middle Standard (class 8) Examination 2015-16, the result of which was declared by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) on Saturday.
Maintaining its dominance, out of 27 students appeared in the aforesaid exam, 10 students of JKPS Panjtirthi secured 10 top positions with Mannat securing second position by fetching 249 marks, Khawaish Gupta securing third slot with 248, Manika Puri fourth slot by scoring 247, Vidit Gupta, Arnav Puri, and Ananya Bamba sharing sixth position by scoring 245 marks, Aman Mahajan and Sukrit Sharma securing 8th position by scoring 243 marks, Palak Sharma 9th position by scoring 242 and Jhalak securing 10th position by scoring 241 marks.
In the overall result, with eight girls sharing the first position in Jammu district, the girls have yet again retained their superiority over boys. The first position holders secured 250 marks.
The overall pass percentage of Jammu district was 93.88 per cent with 19,309 students getting through, out of 20,568 appeared while 191 remained absent. Ten positions have been secured by 188 students, a DIET officer said.
