JAMMU: Ishan Choudhary, a class 3rd student of JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi made the school and hsi parent proud by securing first position in under-11 category in Open Chess Tournament organized by All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association, here recently.
Students from different schools participated in the tournament.
Commenting on the connection between Chess and academic performance, the Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah said, “Chess is a great stimulant for significant intellectual development resulting in improved academic performance and improved concentration and decision making abilities, thereby I feel more and more students should be introduced to Chess during their formative years as it helps bring out their analytical skills.”
The Principal congratulated the Parents of Ishan Choudhary for their support and encouragement.
