JKPS Panjtirthi celebrates National Sports Day

JAMMU: National Sports Day was celebrated with fervour at JK Public School Panjtirthi.
Roshan Lal Paloria and Sheetal, the games teachers of JKPS Panjtirthi anchored the programme.
They highlighted, “Games keeps our body alert, active youthful, energetic and only healthy person can work long, hard and cheerfully. Only a sports person knows that victory and defeat are the two aspects of the same coin.”
Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi Mrs Suman Banbah unfolded the sports day flag.
Various sports activities including tug of war, lemon and spoon race , Kangaroo race ,shoe tied race , one legged race etc were organised to develop the team spirit, leadership and sportsmanship qualities among jakiians.
The physical activities coaches of JKPS raised the spirit of the occasion in a grand way by presenting their own demonstrations of plethora of sports activities such as Yoga, Taekwondo, karate and skating. Their performances motivated and entertained the audience.
Jakiians enacted a skit to laud that players have been found better equipped to fight superstitions, communalism and criticism.
The winners of all the sports competitions felt proud of being awarded with the certificates from the Principal.
The Principal further motivated the students and added, “Games also help in overcoming the sense of violence, arrogance and superiority. Games make people bold, adventurous, socially disciplined and more conscious of their responsibility towards society and nation.”
