Diwali-A festival which gives many reasons to smile and enjoy

JAMMU: The pious festival of Diwali – the festival of lights , love and joy was celebrated at JKPS Panjtirthi with devotion, enthusiasm and excitement.
Raksha Thakur ,the incharge of celebration acquainted the Jakiians about rituals , beliefs, facts and mythological stories related to the festival. She expressed, “let’s lead this planet towards light and fill our homes with light and prayers , not with fumes and crackers.”

Glimpses of Diwali celebration at JK Public School Panjtirthi.

The celebration commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony by the Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah.
She wished Happy Diwali to one and all and expressed, “Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is a vibrant and culturally rich celebration that holds a special place in the hearts of millions around the world. It’s a time when homes, streets, and hearts are illuminated with joy, positivity, and hope.”
The Participants faces were beaming with light and their hearts were throbbing with excitement.
Deepali Sharma the incharge of celebration offered prayer to the almighty that filled everyones heart & mind with love and harmony.
The role play on a scene from “Ramayana ” enchantment of Hanuman Chalisa and Ram Stuti and the dance performance by Jakiians were the highlights of the day.
Jakiians enacted a skit and gave a message to the audience that, “Diwali, also famously referred to as the festival of lights, symbolizes the ultimate victory of positivity over negativity. It celebrates the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya with Mata Sita and Lakshman after their 14-year vanvaas (exile), as well as the defeat of the Rakshasa king Ravana.”
The Principal was flabbergasted over the performance of the Jakians.
She added, “The triumph of virtue over the vice is the eternal truth. This Diwali let’s light a lamp of love, blast a chain of sorrow, shoot a rocket of Prosperity.” A quiz on Diwali celebration was conducted by the Principal and the winners were awarded.
The school ground embellished with handcrafted paper diyas and lanterns added to the joyous ambience of the celebration.
The principal rewarded Sushma Gupta the decoration incharge of the celebration for the outstanding decoration.
