JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi organised a farewell function to bid adieu to the students of class 10th. The lamp lighting ceremony was conducted by the Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi Suman Banbah. She paid tributes to Saraswati- the Goddess of Knowledge for the well being of one and all. A delightful programme was prepared by the students of class 9th for outgoing batch of class 10th.
They bid their seniors an emotional goodbye and wished them good luck.
The school flag handing over ceremony was conducted to signify the passing of the baton of responsibilities by the outgoing batch of class 10th to the incoming students of class 10th. The programme was a blend of foot taping songs, dance items, mimicry and role play. The most exciting segment of the function was the ramp walk competition, where all the students of class 10th flaunted themselves confidently in beautiful attires.
Smashing smiles, vibrant attires and stellar performances enthralled the audience. Abbu Sufiyan of class 10th was adjudged as Mr. JKPS and Riya Gupta won the title of Miss JKPS. Hitesh Manotra was selected as Runner up and Miss runner up was Sonal Vermani.
Students of class 10th expressed their feelings and thanked the staff for their able guidance and were happy to convey that they have been groomed in to disciplined and all-rounder students.
Each student of class 10th was felicitated with a beautiful gift and different title according to his/her talents and capabilities. The titles were Most disciplined child, well dressed child, child with leadership qualities, gem of the class ,best sports person, intelligent child, all rounder etc.
Jakiians honoured the Principal and the teachers with gifts as a token of love in respect. The Principal delivered an inspiring speech to the outgoing class . She bestowed her blessings on them and motivated them to become better human beings. She quoted,” we can translate dreams and ambitions into thoughts and thoughts into action by perseverance and hard work which can carve our destiny. So obstacles should be taken as building blocks for learning.”
The principal remarked, “J.K Public School has always tried to equip the society with diligent, disciplined, reliable, confident and competent group of students and is continuing with this tradition.
The teachers wished, “May the dreams aspirations, passion, target, expectations, aims, mottos of each JAKIAN reach the sky of success.”
