Speaking on the occasion, newly elected President, Rakesh Jalali urged LG Manoj Sinha to look into the matter personally as it is a subject matter of paramount importance and any further delay in the matter would be more detrimental to the cause of piece workers, contractors etc, who have borrowed huge finances from various banking & non-banking institutions. During course of long deliberations, General Secretary Sunil Sahib urged for timely allocation of funds to all the respective units of JKPCC to take them out of the morass, as affected contractors, piece workers and firms, are suffering badly. He further stressed for need for immediate stoppage of composite tenders being prepared and floated by the corporation, without clearing pending liabilities. Jalali further requested all higher-ups to direct MD for encashing all FDRs amounting to Rs 200 crore approximately, laying with corporation as a fixed deposit. He further expressed astonishment that all DGMs are asking for progress of ongoing works in backdrop of old liabilities of piece workers & contractors, who are already suffering a lot.
Later, all elected office bearers expressed gratitude towards all members and demanded one more meeting succession in near future.
