JKP Wrestler Dillar wins Aghar Jitto Dangal

JAMMU: Wrestler Dillar Khan of J&K Police lifted the 57th Annual Aghar Jitto Kesari Dangal title defeating Deepak Kakran of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi in the main bout that lasted for 21 minutes at village Aghar Jitto in Tehsil Katra of district Reasi.
Dangal was organized to pay tributes to the great revolutionary farmer, Baba Jitto and Bua Kouri. The event was part of three days historic Mela at Aghar Jitto.
Former Joint Secretary of J&K Sports Council (JKSC) and president J&K Indian
Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest who
gave away cash prizes to those winners and runners-up wrestlers in presence of Baba Mohan Lal (chairman), Krishan Singh (Pappu) former Sarpanch and President Awardee, Gopal Krishan Komal (Retd. ZEO).
Jugal Kishore, social activist prominent wrestling promoter and leading businessman of Delhi, presided over the function.
Proceeding of the Dangal conducted by executive member of Senior
Citizens Welfare Forum Katra, Gopal Krishan Komal while Krishan Singh presented vote of thanks.
The bouts were officiated by Deepak Wazir, Om parkash Verma, Tulinder Kumar and Kartar Singh. Inspector RS Rana was guest of honour.
Winner of the main bout, Dillar Khan awarded with a cash
prize of Rs. 12,000 along with Traditional Gurj (Gadda) and Patta by
chief guest Shiv Kumar Sharma and Jugal Kishore while runners-up wrestler Deepak Kakran got Rs. 10,000.
In total, 45 bouts decided in this dangal. The second main bout won by Chandi of Kohlapur (Maharashtra) who defeated Surjeet Singh of J&K Police of Narkote (Reasi) while third bout won by Mam Hussain of Jhajjarkotli (Domel) who defeated Sanjay of Delhi.
