JKP lifts kabaddi, volleyball titles

KATHUA: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) lifted kabaddi and volleyball titles in the First Inter-state Police Sports Meet organized by District Police at District Police Lines, here on Thursday.
“The meet included sequel of events as joint law and order drills, cordon and search operations, cordon and destroy operations, sports events to strengthen coordination between J and K Police and Punjab Police for dealing effectively with law and order, prevention and detection of crime/cases which have inter-state ramifications particularly terrorism and menace of drugs,” police spokespersons said. In volleyball, JKP team emerged as winner by defeating CRPF 121 Bn. and in kabbadi again JKP outplayed CRPF 121 Bn in a tough contest.
All the events were coordinated and organized by Nodal Officer Khalil Poswal Additional SP Kathua and the Chief Guest of the occasion was Pawan Parihar, SSP Kathua.
At the conclusion of function, all participants and winners were rewarded by giving trophies. Officers of Punjab Police have appreciated role and effective participation of jawans of JKP.
