JAMMU: JKP Cricket XI, ICC XI and Simula Club registered victory and entered in the next round of the ongoing Third Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, played at Gulshan Ground , here on Wednesday.
In first match of the day, JKP XI defeated Sai Cricket Club by six wickets.
Batting first, Sai Club XI scored 141 runs in the allotted 18 overs for the loss of seven wickets with Rohit (48), Suman (26) and Chotu (24) were the main scorers. Rajesh Gill took three wickets, Shamsher clinched two while Vishwajeet and Vishal shared one wicket each for JKP XI.
JKP XI, in reply chased the target 15.5 overs thus won the match by six wickets. Farooq made 46 runs followed by Rompy (30) and Jatin (23). Sunny, Chotu, Vinay and Varinder shared one wicket each for Sai Club. Farooq was declared Man of the Match for his batting performance.
In the second match, ICC XI scripted a comfortable win against Atman Club. Batting first Atman Club made 169 runs in the allotted 18 overs for six wickets with Ritesh (45), Hitanshu (30) and Manpreet (28) runs
Vinu took two wickets, Ankush and Arjun shared one each for ICC XI.
In reply , ICC Club achieved the target in 17.4 overs for the loss of five wickets . Atul as the main scorer with 51 runs while Amit and Ankush contributed 41 and 29 runs respectively. Ritesh and Ricky shared two wickets each. Amit was declared Man of the Match.
Another match played between Simula Cricket Club and Akhnoor Club.
Batting first Simula Cricket Club scored 172 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of ten wickets. Dhruv made 50 runs, while Atul scored 28 and Deepak made 21 runs. Anil took three wickets, Sham two whereas Sonu and Binny shared one wicket each.
Akhnoor XI could not achieve the target and scored 134 runs thus lost the match by 38 runs. Sunil Sharma was the main scorer who made 52 runs and Sagar was the other batsman who scored 23 runs. Somay Jain was main bowler of Simula who took four important wickets, whereas Sameer Khajuria and Mohit Puri took three and two wickets respectively. Dhruv was declared Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sunil Sambayal, Sandeep Manchanda, Suhail Yusuf, Abhijot Bedi,Shahrukh and Yogesh .
