SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police has undertaken various activities supplementing support to the civil administration in relief and restoration measures.
As a part of this campaign, the organisation on Tuesday established a tent colony at Bemina near Haj House wherein 40 homeless families have been accommodated.
The jawans of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police also under took the cleaning of G B Pant Hospital to help the hospital administration in restoring the functioning of day-to-day work. Water tankers and gen sets were pressed into service to ensure the cleaning of hospital.
Moreover, a medical and relief camp was conducted at Aali Masjid Idgah in which more than 500 patients were treated by the doctors of Police Hospital Zewan.
Free medicines were distributed among the patients, besides blankets, food items and drinking water among the sufferers.
The activities were carried under the supervision of Commandant JKAP 9th Bn. Altaf Ahmed Khan. He was assisted by Dy. SP, Muzaffar Ahmed and other officers and jawans.
