JAMMU: JKNPP expressed serious concern over the delay in development projects in general and the Smart City project of Jammu city in particular.
Briefing media persons here, Zonal President JKNPP, Neeraj Gupta said that the smart city projects and other developmental projects are like dream come true for the people of Jammu but unfortunately all this is restricted on papers only.
“Prime – facie there is no sign of development. Ground reality is that the roads, medical, education, transport and security related facilities are in worst condition which is not according to the standards of Smart City. The government is not having time to talk about the developmental projects like Gandola, Tawi Artificial Lake, etc. and is showing least concern about the completion of these projects,” he added. He further said that the present government gives assurances but no promise has ever been fulfilled till date. He said that before proceeding for the Smart City projects basic facilities should be provided to the people of Jammu.
Gupta demanded that the government should immediately start the projects of development.
