JKNPP demands restoration of drinking water, electricity at Talwara Migrant Camp

REASI: JKNPP demanded immediate restoration of drinking water supply and electricity to the displaced migrants of Jammu Province as the families in Talwara Migrant Camp at Reasi are thirsty and hard pressed due to apathy of the BJP-PDP Government.
P.K Ganju Vice-President and Anita Thakur General Secretary today visited the Talwara Camp and were received by camp leaders including Balwan Singh Chairman Talwara Migrant Action Committee, Jagdev Singh President Migrant Action Committee, Sumitra Devi Secretary Migrant Action Committee and others.
Addressing the Talwara Camp, Ganju demanded there should be no discrimination in payment of relief between Jammu migrants-Kashmir migrants and also in providing basic human amenities of life.
Ganju and Anita said it is shameful for the so called democratic government in J and K which claims to be committed to “solve problems of the masses in the State”.
“These migrants are facing great hardship during these summer hot days to carry on their day to day lives in absence of water and power,” they said.
JKNPP leaders called upon the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give some human lecturing to his BJP outfit and its leaders in Jammu.
They further urged the son of the soil Dr. Jatinder Singh MoS in Prime Minister’s office and MP from Udhampur LoK Sabha Constituency to take pity at his voters and ask Dy. Chief Minister, Prof. Nirmal Singh to provide drinking water and water supply to Jammu migrants immediately.
Panthers leaders demanded that district administration Reasi must immediately release the monthly relief both kind and cash in favour of the migrants immediately.
