JAMMU: To draw the attention of Governor, N.N Vohra towards prevailing situation of the J and K State, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party on Sunday staged protest demanding immediate dissolution of present BJP-PDP Government and imposition of Governor Rule in the State.
Led by Zonal President JKNPP, Neeraj Gupta, the workers assembled at Dogra Chowk and raised slogans against the State Coalition Government.
Gupta said that the present government is incapable of maintaining peace, law and order in the State. It has failed to control the killing of innocent and put a check on the separatist and militants. Army, security forces and minority people are being targeted and attacked by the terrorists and the mob but government advised the security forces to handle the situation with patience.
The State suffered monetary loss in crores of rupees as the tourism is effected by the disturbance in Kashmir also the businessmen of Jammu is running its business in losses as they are not able to recover their debts from Kashmir due to disturbance, he said, adding that there is no administration for maintain law and order in the State.
“Firstly Amarnath Yatra was targeted and now clashes and disturbances are seen in Rajouri with an aim to affect the Budha Amarnath Yatra. Mata Machail Yatra is also being targeted by the terrorists by creating disturbance in Kishtwar. It is a conspiracy to eliminate a particular religion from the State and hurt the rich and diverse culture and heritage of the State,” he added. He said that the Governor Rule is the only way to let the State come out of this tense situation.
Those who joined the protest include Rakesh Gupta, Ravinder Jamwal, Virinder Singh, Simranjeet Singh, Rahul Kumar, Anil Kumar, Gurdeepak, Bharat Kumar, Sona Kumar and Karanjeet Singh.
