JKNPP calls for Jammu Bandh on Dec 17;Compensation for militants, empty State coffers for martyrs disgusting: Harsh

JAMMU: Expressing indignation over by the State Government’s decision to clear ex-gratia to the next of the kin of Hizb militant Burhan Wani’s brother, a strong contingent of Panther activists spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Yash Paul Kundal State President Young Panthers staged a protest at Exhibition Ground here against the dispensation for appeasing the secessionists, militants and other disruptionist forces.
The infuriated protestors while raising anti-government slogans torched the effigy of the BJP to express their anger and disgust. Harsh disclosed that the DC Pulwama had issued a notification announcing ex-gratia relief in favour of next of the kin of Burhan Wani’s brother Khalid Muzaffar Wani who was killed by the army in an encounter in Buchoo forest area of Tral on 13th April, 2015.
Lambasting the criminal silence of the BJP over the issue, Singh said that the Saffron Party had forgotten its kernel philosophy and once again proven that it could swallow anything for remaining glued to power.
Singh said that Panthers Party would oppose, expose and depose the Saffron brigade for bringing disgrace to the nationalist Dogras and for its persistent acts of betrayal, duplicity and subterfuge. He appealed the traders, civil society and various social and political organizations to observe complete shut down on Saturday, 17th Dec. 2016 as a mark of protest against the highly obnoxious move of the govt. to glorify the militants.
Expressing gratification over the retention of Govt. Girls High School (GHS) City Chowk from the wrath of demolition proposed for the construction of a parking facility, Harsh along with other prominent leaders visited the school on Wednesday to compliment the students and the parents for their relentless struggle bearing the fruits. He interacted with the students of the school and advised the teachers to put extra efforts into the remaining academic session.
