JAMMU: The second day of the Model United Nations (MUN) conference at JK Public School, Kunjwani was marked by engaging debates, collaborative resolutions, and remarkable diplomacy. Participants from various schools continued to showcase their understanding of global issues and their commitment to find solutions.
The school set the stage for intellectual discourse and diplomatic deliberations on 27 July 2024. The event featured several key committees, each with a focused agenda, ensuring a well-rounded and insightful experience for all participants.
All India Political Parties Meet with (AIPPM) deliberated the current state of Manipur due to recent tribal conflicts and examining the response of the Central Government.
Delegates represented various political parties and discussed the ongoing tribal conflicts in Manipur. The debates focused on assessing the Central Government’s response and proposing solutions to restore peace and stability in the region.
The agenda of the Lok Sabha committee was “Deliberation upon proper implementation of The Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution in concerned areas and examining the viability and feasibility of its implementation in the Union Territory of Ladakh in light of recent protests”.
Delegates assumed the roles of Members of Parliament, engaging in discussions on the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution and its potential implementation in Ladakh. The debates addressed recent protests and sought viable solutions for better governance.
United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Committee deliberated upon resolving the humanitarian crisis and restoring stability in conflict zones in Africa and Central-Western Asia with special emphasis on the ongoing crisis in Rafah.

The agenda of United Nations Commission on the Status of Women committee (UNCSW) was to strengthen global and national civil society organizations working towards gender equality, safeguarding women’s rights, and upholding their participation in decision-making processes. Delegates discussed ways to strengthen civil society organizations dedicated to gender equality and women’s rights. The debates emphasized the importance of women’s participation in decision-making processes and proposed measures to safeguard their rights.

The Chairman, JK Educational Society Raj Daluja alongwith the Director Shashi Chaudhary, member of the management Gautam Daluja, Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Roopinder Kaur, School Coordinator Inderjeet Kaur and JKMUN Coordinator Renu Uppal visited the Committee venues, witnessed the proceedings for a short duration and appreciated the profound content, polished diction, debating skills and confidence level of MUNers.
