JAMMU: JK Public School, Kunjwani has once again proven its mettle on the sports field, with its Under-17 Boys Football Team delivering an outstanding performance in the CBSE Cluster XVIII Games 2025-26.
The prestigious tournament, held under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), witnessed spirited competition and remarkable talent from schools across the region.
The football matches for the U/17 Boys category took place from 27 to 31 July 2025, drawing participation from 64 teams. Amidst intense matchups and high stakes, the JKPS Kunjwani team exhibited commendable skill, teamwork and determination, making their way to the semi-finals with strategic game-play, which culminated in a well-deserved 3rd Position among 64 teams participated in this tournament.
The winners are Rudra Aman Singh (Team Captain), Gursimran Singh (Vice Captain), Harsh Sharma (Goal Keeper), Ishanveer Singh, Kunwarpaul Singh, Abdullah Rishu, Akshat Kumar, Harshvardhan, Anagh Baloria, Aadit Sahni, Arhan Malik, Manjot Singh, Chirag Lakshmi, Ayshvir Singh, Aradhay Sharma and Amanjot Singh.
Shashi Chaudhary, Director JK Educational Society and Rajesh Rathore, Principal JK Public School, Kunjwani, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the entire team. They also acknowledged and appreciated the invaluable guidance and training provided by the school’s Football Coach, Elija Sotra.
The CBSE Cluster Games organized annually, aim to foster a spirit of healthy competition and promote physical education among students.
