JKFFA remembers Chandra Shekhar Azad

JAMMU: To remember the great freedom fighter, Martyr Chandra Shekhar Azad, the J&K Freedom Fighters’ Association (JKFFA) held an impressive function at Dogra Shaurya Sthal, Ambphalla, Jammu. The function was organised by the President of the Association Ved Gandotra.
Joint Commissioner (A) JMC, R.S Jamwal was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Floral tributes were paid to the great martyr and two minutes silence was observed in his honour
and candles were also lit in the honour of the freedom fighters.
The members remembered Shaheed Chander Shakher and his daring deeds, his contribution in the fight for freedom of the mother-land. The members also remembered Netaji Subash Chander Bose, Shaheed Bhagat Smgh, Sukhdev and Raj Guru, Mangal Pandey, Ashfaq-ullah- Khan and Udham Singh and all those knówn and un-known Martyrs who played a vital role.
The members also paid tributes to soldiers who fell while fighting the terrorists in Kashmir and the other parts of India and prayed for eternal peace of their souls. The members also asked the youth of the Valley to shun violence and give a befitting reply to the separatists and the disgruntled main stream politicians by joining main stream and working for the welfare of the people.
The prominent persons who spoke on the occasion were Rajiv Mahajan, Tej Ram Dogra, Pritam Sharma, Devinder Singh, Brij Mehra, Baldev Atri and Parbhat Kapahi.
