JAMMU: To express resentment against the failure of administration department in addressing their genuine issues, J and K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) held a protest leave on Monday.
“Our protest is to get the attention of the government towards the main demands without fulfilling of which the JKPDD cannot work further as the morale of the power engineers is at its lowest ebb ever,” protesters said.
The major issues lying pending before the department are extension of Assured Carrier Progression (ACP) by way of giving running pay grade to the State Electrical Engineering Services, regularisation of engineers at various cadres and timely promotions against clear vacancies.
The JKEEGA thanked Chairman AIPEF Shalendra Dubey who extended full support of all the power engineers of the country and has shot a letter to Chief Minister Mahbooba Mufti for the redressal of the grievances of the power engineers of J and K.
Moreover, he will be visiting J and K along with Central delegation to have a meeting with the Chief Minister and Dy. Chief Minister of the State so that our demands are addressed immediately without any further delay.
The association appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter personally and redress the issues with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the same protest was also held at Srinagar.
During the protest, Chief Engineer M&RE Wing, Kashmir, Shahnaz Goni also addressed the Electrical Engineering Graduates.
