JKAACL remembers Munshi Prem Chand with Hindi Kahani Goshthi

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), Jammu on Monday organised a Hindi Short Story Goshthi in the KL Saigal Hall, here on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Munshi Prem Chand, a legendry litterateur of his time.
Prof. Rita Jatindra a renowned Academician, social activist and former Secretary of the JKAACL presided over. She also delivered a detailed lecture on the life and works of Munshi Prem Chand.
Those who presented their short stories in this programme were Yogita Yadav (Chandan Ki Palki), Naresh Kumar (Ganda Nallah) and Maharaj Krishan Santoshi (Udaas Ishwar Ki Katha).
During the discussion about the short stories presented Aman Preet Kour, Yogita Yadav, Naresh Kumar Udas, Rita Katyal and Maharaj Krishan Santoshi took part and expressed their views.
Delivering her presidential address Prof. Rita Jatindra appreciated the initiative of the academy to bring forth the life and works of the classic personality of his times before the young generation especially the students.
Earlier, delivering his welcome address Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Secretary of the academy highlighted the future activities being undertaken by the Academy. Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Rattan Lal Basotra, Editor Dogri, whereas vote of thanks was delivered by Ashok Gupta, Chief Editor.
