JAMMU: Part of the Indian team on exposure trip to Moscow in Russian, top J&K players, Surya Bhanu Partap Singh, Abhishek Jamwal and Jiya Manhas retained their titles in the Moscow Wushu Stars championship. Surya Bhanu Partap Singh secured gold in 60 Kg while Abhishek Jamwal (56 kg) and Jiya (sub-junior, below 39 kg) also bagged gold medals. Other two J&K players, Aman Singh and Priyanshu Singh had to contain with silver and bronze medals respectively.
At present, both Bhanu Partap Singh and Abhishek Singh part of the National Coaching camp. The next phase of the coaching camp will be held in Srinagar from June five. Pertinent to mention here that Abhishek Singh Jamwal remained the lone gold winner in the 36th National Games whereas Bhanu is the Asian Games medallist from J&K.
Meanwhile, president Wushu Association of J&K, Vijay Saraf; senior vice president, Ranjeet Kalra; Munish Gupta, Sadat Aslam Wani Ravi Kant and general secretary, Bhavneet; Sunil Sharma and Sohit Sharma also congratulated the medalists and wished best of luck to medalists for the future endeavours and especially Bhanu and Abhishek for the Asian Games.
