J&K Sports Council Premier League gets underway at Srinagar

SRINAGAR: In the ongoing J&K Sports Council Premier League 2020, three matches were played on Wednesday in the discipline of volleyball at Mini Indoor Stadium, Pologround, here.
In the first match M I Lions beat Real Leathers Elite by 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-23) while Go Amir Elites defeated Dhara Warriors by 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-20) in second match and third matchj was won by MKM Balhama Blasters by defeating Talibal Tigers by 3-2 (25-20, 22-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-13).
A large number of volleyball lovers were present in the stadium and hailed the initiative of Sports Council for organising volleyball matches in indoor stadium.
Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir, Nuzhat Ara was Chief Guest in the today’s event.
Hockey: In the inaugural match commenced at Gindun Sports Complex, Rajbagh Srinagar, Badal Hockey Club beat Balhama Hockey Club by 5-0 goals while in second match Mahindra Hockey Club outplayed Friends Club by 6-2 goals.
Football: J&K PDC beat Novelty Sports club by 3 goals to nil in the first match played on Wednesday at Synthetic Football Stadium, Srinagar. The second match played between J&K Bank and AG’s XI which was won by J&K Bank by 4-1. This was fourth consecutive win for J&K Bank thus dominating the league so far.
The Premier League is being organised by J&K Sports Council in collaboration with respective sports associations.
