JAMMU: The Parent Teacher Meet (PTM) at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi – A platform where teachers and parents love to come together and work together to support learning and improve the performance of the child.
Parent teacher meet for class 1st to 10th was organised at JKPS Panjtirthi in three days consecutively.
This two way communication promoted the bond among parents and teachers and led to innovative ideas to contribute to the overall development and well being of the child.
The class teachers handed over the answer sheets of 1st unit examination to the parents to promote transparency and to enable the children and their parents to ensure that the child does not repeat the same mistakes in future.
The best part was that all the subject teachers were available to parents to discuss their child’s performance at length which helped them to overcome their shortcomings. The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi Suman Banbah educated and guided the parents as to how they should be handling their children to get the best out of them in all spheres whether it is discipline, academic, games and their behaviour both at home and school.
Each parent was dealt individually. She explained few tips to the parents to inculcate certain required qualities and values among children and to increase their concentration power and confidence. The parents felt relaxed and stress free after the counselling session. They were determined and clear as to how they have to solve the problems of their children without punishing and burdening them and how to extract the best out of them.
