JAMMU: We can end the stigma of HIV through love, support and awareness. AIDS Day provides an opportunity for people all over the world to come together in the battle against HIV to support those who are living with it.
JK Public School Panjtirthi observed AIDS Day in the school campus.
The programme commenced with an introduction by Kamini Nanda who enlightened the students with various facts, myths and figures about the dreadful syndrome.
Jakiians made the show more meaningful , informative and interesting through a parody where they spoke on causes and prevention of AIDS.
Jakiians lauded the theme of World AIDS Day 2024 “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!”
Every student had pinned up red ribbons on the collar of their courts, which is the universal symbol of awareness and support for people living with HIV and took a pledge to induce the spirit among youth to help, love support and care for the people living with HIV/AIDS.
Jakiians sang a melodious song which gave the message to the audience that life is precious and we should take every possible precaution to live life to the fullest.
In the end the Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah revealed, “Today’s celebration serves as a reminder to the public and the government that HIV is still a serious problem that requires urgent attention and more awareness among the people.”
To make the celebration more meaningful and to add to the knowledge of jakiians, the Principal asked various questions from students regarding the celebration and the winners were rewarded.
