JAMMU: National Energy Conservation Day was celebrated at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi to raise awareness about the importance of energy conservation and efficiency.

Meenu, the teacher incharge of the celebration, explained the grandeur of the day and highlighted that every act of energy conservation is more than just common sense. It is an act of patriotism. Jakiians highlighted the various ways to use and conserve energy efficiently.
Jakiians lauded the do’s and don’ts to conserve the energy and nature.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah remarked, “The real wealth of the nation is its air, water, soil, forest, minerals, rivers, lakes, oceans scenic beauty, wildlife and biodiversity. We all should do our bit to conserve the wealth of nation.”
She motivated the Jakians to follow the instructions to use energy efficiently which include Turn off the lights and electoral appliances while leaving the rooms; Make Maximum use of sunlight during the days; Use LED Bulbs or other energy efficient bulbs; and Use air conditioners and heaters wisely.
The Principal asked an array of questions regarding the theme of the celebration and the winners were awarded.
